NEURO-FAST

Simply input individual item scores, and the NEURO-FAST calculator automatically computes the total scores for Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), Transient Focal Neurological Episodes (TFNE), and TFNE associated with Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (TFNE-CAA).

The scoring method involves assigning scores of 0, 1, or 2 to each characteristic based on its level of consistency with each diagnosis: 0 indicates “Not consistent,” 1 indicates “Possibly consistent,” and 2 indicates “Highly consistent.” These scores are then totaled for each diagnosis: TIA, TFNE, and CAA-TFNE. The diagnosis with the highest total score is considered the most likely diagnosis for the patient’s condition. In the event of a tie between two or more diagnoses, further clinical evaluation and investigation may be necessary to make a definitive diagnosis.
